DANCE IN THE FELLS

Various sculptural interventions in the woods around Wrights Pond using oriental bittersweet vines, bamboo and fallen trees come to life in performative works with choreographers Kara Fili and Terra Weaver.

Dance in the Fells: Wright’s Pond is a festival of new, site-specific dance created for and performed in three areas of Wright’s Pond, a historic public space and community park located on Elm Street in Medford, MA. We believe that “site” is a geographical location, a landscape, a history, and plans for the future.

Dance in the Fells: Wright’s Pond is supported in part by a grant from the Medford Arts Council, a local agency supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency. Dance in the Fells is also participating in ‘Arts Across Medford’ a month-long celebration of the arts in Medford in October.
