In partnership with Charles River Watershed Association, Boston Green Infrastructure, and the Boston Nature Center, Critter Creation was a participatory art activity to bring attention to their wetland restoration work in the Canterbury Brook in Mattapan. The critters will be installed on the wetland trail later this summer with signage information about how this restoration project will create more habitat for the species featured in this project and more! I made the critters with upcycled cedar fencing cutoffs that I cut into the animal shapes and painted a base for participants to add texture with pain pens.
